Systems Specialist - Winnipeg, MB

The role of the Systems Specialists is to assess business requirements and determine the impact on infrastructure, application components and technical designs. This role will work directly with the infrastructure and architecture team to implement, manage, and monitor iC Group’s suite of infrastructure, security, and application components. The System Specialist will be focused on ensuring non-functional requirements are being met and adhered to across multiple projects at a given time. The Systems Specialist will also work with above teams to design solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Experience with standard Windows development tools including one or more of the following: ASP.NET, IIS, AJAX, Web Services, and Reporting Services.
• Experience with infrastructure configuration within a Microsoft environment
• A minimum of 4 years experience in design and management of web based solutions
• Experience in preparing complex system specifications
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
• Adaptable to changes in work environment
• Ability to establish work priorities and manage time effectively
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both individual and team situations
• Continual learning in web based software and infrastructure technologies
• A Computer Science Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent diploma from a recognized educational institution
