Telus: Casino-Themed Dealer Incentives

Situation: Chance to win incentives have long been tapped-into by brands to drive consumer behavior. They are also effective in achieving business objectives, as demonstrated by Telus -- one of Canada's leading providers of data, Internet Protocol (IP), voice and wireless communications services. To reward and incite dealers for achieving sales, Telus upped the ante with a series of casino-themed instant win games launched over four quarters.

How it worked:

  • Registered Telus dealers earned virtual casino chips for every sale they made.
  • Weekly email notifications were sent to dealers notifying them of the number of chips they earned. The email directed them to the Telus Mobility website, where they found a link to the online game.
  • Reps registered and logged-in to play. Each casino-themed game and the prizes available to be won changed per quarter, including Poker, Slots, Roulette and Blackjack.
  • Instant win prizes available to be won included points, prizes, gift cards and more.
